Earthtec has pioneered the use of woven mesh products “gabions” in the Australian Landscape market and has completed most of the successful such constructions in recent years including Svarmisk Resort, Waverton Park, Waverly Park (the Mirvac prestige redevelopment of the former AFL Ground), the Five Star Qualia Resort on Hamilton Island and the 3.5km long, free standing, combined landscape & flood wall at the iconic Flemington Race Course which presents an impressive backdrop along the finishing straight in November, each year at the Melbourne Cup.
Attention to detail and highly experienced construction crews have enabled Earthtec to establish a well justified reputation for high quality work in this challenging market and we have been rewarded with repeat business from existing clients and from discerning new clients seeking the confidence that the completed work will meet their exacting aesthetic requirements.

Increased surface run-off, more intense rainfall and recent cyclone events have resulted in major damage to property and infrastructure constructed in or near Australia’s rivers and creeks.
The normal river dynamics of erosion and deposition when combined with increased urban development within traditional floodplain areas present a major challenge to planners and engineers.
River or creek embankment failures are common place and require careful remediation to ensure the hydraulic and ecological characteristics of the stream flow are not adversely affected by the construction of bank remediation works necessary to restore lost property or protect buildings from future flood related erosion damage.
These river works are often also combined with road repairs and the restoration of land and services adjacent to the water course. Earthtec’s considerable experience with wire mesh and geosynthetics construction techniques has proven extremely helpful in addressing river and creek works and include large floodway repairs, weirs, drop structures, groynes and cascade structures.

Civil and geotechnical engineering has been Earthtec’s core focus since the company was first established. Initial activities grew from erosion control & retaining wall projects to full scale landslip remediation, embankment stabilisation works and general civil works.
Opportunities to contribute to Australia’s civil infrastructure include major works for the SOPA at Sydney Olympic Park, Sydney International Airport, Landfill Remediation works in NSW and WA and the variety of projects detailed below.
In addition to general civil construction and related works. EarthTEC leads the way in wire mesh and geosynthetic construction and constantly evaluates and introduces new & emerging technologies to ensure our clients benefit from World’s Best Practice in civil engineering construction and ground modification. Through this approach Earthtec has developed close links with a range of system suppliers and is currently evaluating a variety of modular bridge systems to complement its existing road and civil engineering works.
